Batman Arkham Origins was created by the developers at Warner Bros Montreal, rather than the previous two games made- Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City which were produced by Rocksteady. Arkham Origins is set several years before the events of both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It involves Batman when he was much younger and inexperienced.
Plot:
Years before the Arkham incidents, the vigilante Batman finds himself the target of an open end murder contract thanks to Black Mask. This then tempts the likes of Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Bane. Also, The Penguin threatens the Falcone family during this epic stand off between Batman and his enemies. Two years into the career of the Batman, Bruce Wayne finds himself being at the brunt of a $50 million dollar target of eight assassins, all contracted by Black Mask to hunt him down. When confronting a member of the GCPD, Jim Gordon, Batman finds himself the best chance at having an ally.

Extra Info:
The gameplay map itself was much larger than both its predecessor games. This gave the player more time to free roam the city and gave them the opportunity to complete side missions and other content. Furthermore, the game was the first in the Arkham series with multiplayer capabilities.
My Opinion:
I feel that Arkham Origins was a superb game despite the bad publicity and reviews that it received. I believe that the game was unique and I liked the way it included several of Batman's enemies throughout the entirety. I thought that Warner Bros Montreal made up for the loss of Batman and Joker's main voice actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill well by hiring two voice actors who filled the part in adequately. Finally, enjoyed the dark humour that was subtly placed amongst the intense atmosphere of the game, an example was the mission of Batman vs. Electrocutioner.
Official IGN Rating: 7.8/10 (IGN) My Rating: 8.5/10 (Personal Opinion)
